WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING
CUTICLE OIL?
Using cuticle oil, especially during the winter months is vital to ensuring nails stay as hydrated and healthy as possible and the key to having long lasting nail enhancements.
If a makeup artist applied lip stick to a client with dry cracked lips, the finish and longevity would not be as good as applied to a client with moisturised lips. The lip stick applied is not the problem, the base condition of the natural lips are! Nails are the same when it comes to dehydration.
Our natural nails are like leaves, during the colder seasons they become more dehydrated and can curl inwards, pulling away from enhancements which creates premature lifting.
Make sure your clients are aware that they need to hydrate their nails regularly with oil to ensure they get the best results from their nail enhancements. Aftercare is key.
USING OIL REGULARLY WILL…
- Prevent nails from curling inwards, away from the engagement and chipping/lifting due to dehydration.
- Protect the surrounding skin from any harsh chemicals since oil acts as a barrier.
- Improve skins appearance by moisturising and hydrating as well as leaving a lovely fragrance.
Remind your clients regularly to oil their cuticles, at least two to four times daily for best results.
