PRESCRIPTIVE NAIL TREATMENTS

Magpie have a wide range of base coats and overlay options to ensure there is a system suitable for everyone. Magpie believe nail products are prescriptive. Just like skincare, it is unlikely that one product will bring out the best results for everyone.
All nail types have different needs and if necessary it is important to trial various product options on clients to know what works best for them and their natural nail type.

For clients who have strong and healthy natural nails which they like to keep short, we would recommend our DREAM DUO treatment using GET A GRIP and GIVE ME STRENGTH. Depending on your clients’ natural nail length and structure, you can add on 1-3 layers of GIVE ME STRENGTH after base coat application. For any clients prone to lifting we would recommend using our CLEAR GET A GRIP bases rather than our cover shade options.
Anyone who experiences pocket lifting should avoid our softest system GIVE ME STRENGTH. With this system being softer, some nails will have too much flex and this causes pocket lifting to the stress area of the nails.
Instead Magpie would recommend trying our PERFECT POLY ACRYGEL, BUILD IT or BMU systems. These are also a great options for any clients who have an active nail lifestyle and are prone to enhancements snapping. Please note ACRYGEL is a file off system which does not soak off, so we recommend infilling this product.
For clients who have weaker natural nails (which tend to be brittle and flat) we recommend using our structure gel, acrygel or builder gel systems.
GMS & BUILD IT are easy soak off products. Acrygel is a file off only system. Please note if BMU is applied too thinly, it is so strong that it can chip like glass (unlike BUILD IT). All of our builder gels and acrygels can be used to create overlays and extensions of any length. Our structure gel GMS can be used to create extensions of up to 3mm.
